Lots of good looks for NI but nothing in the back of the net yet.
10:36 left in the first. Still 1-0 NH
13-4 in shots. Burack is locked in for NH in net
Behrend on the rebound and it's 1-all.
It was only a matter of time. Bulls have been peppering Burack
I would say a 100 and change
Still 1-all-. Bulls with 18-4 advantage in shots
And now NI on the PP... Before both sides had a player given two-minute minors.
Just after the powerplay ends the Bulls sneak one past to take a 2-1 lead with 2:23 left in the 1st.
Sivets with the goal for NI
This is dominant: 27-4 shots on goal for NI
About 3 minutes left on the clock for first intermission
No problem. Here's a quick recap of the first period:
By JARED PATTERSON
ROCHESTER, Minn. -- It’s almost like the Bulls are going through pre-game warm-ups, taking aim at the goalie with ease.
That’s how the first period went for North Iowa as the Bulls built a 2-1 lead over New Hampshire at the USA Hockey Tier III Nationals on Thursday.
North Iowa put 27 shots on goal in the first period with Eric Behrend scoring the equalizer on a rebound before Patrick Sivets gave North Iowa its first lead with 2 minutes, 23 seconds left in the period.
New Hampshire scored on its first shot on net early in the game.
Check back later for more.
Just about set to go with the second period.
So the Bulls are on pace for 81 shots on goal....
Not a ton of action early in the period. NI still playing in the NH zone
16:20 left in the 2nd. Shots on goal 30-5 in favor of NI
